How to protect dark and brown skin over the years?

Did you know that caring for dark skin differs from fair skin?

Dark skin has different characteristics that require different active ingredients and actions. Actions refer to peeling treatments, skin rejuvenation treatments using various technologies or esthetic treatments. Many women have been disappointed to discover that using certain renewal products didn’t work for them, and sometimes even exacerbated the condition of their skin, causing ashen skin and spots. They were unaware that the reason is an incompatibility between the product’s ingredients and their dark skin tone.

Skin tones are categorized from 1 (fairest, doesn’t tan, easily burns) to 6 (very dark, easily tans, never burns. Sensitive to the formation of spots due to irritation or trauma to the skin). This categorization is called the Fitzpatrick Table, and it is taught in cosmetology courses. The professional cosmetologist specializes, among other things, in matching the treatment (peeling, mesotherapy, treatments using technologies) to the skin tone. Active ingredients must also be stringently matched to the skin tone. If you experienced disappointment from treatment results, if spots emerged as a result of a treatment – it all stems from an incorrect match. From the simplest skin renewal cream to deep peeling, these actions require knowledge and an understanding of the rules of matching product to skin tone.
